The soil remains continuously moist, but not wet or waterlogged, to prevent root rot. It can stand long periods of drought without problems.

Prefers low humidity conditions.

Use a specific cactus fertilizer once every 2 or 3 weeks during flowering of the plant, to take advantage of its full potential.
